Desert Island Discs with Project Manager Luke Makari

Bringing back our Desert Island Discs blog series for 2020, we interviewed the newest member of our team, Project Manager Luke Makari. Read on to find out what is on Luke’s Playlist if he was to be cast away on a desert island, and what his chosen book and luxury item would be.

 

You can bring 8 of your favourite songs to the island – which ones would you pick and why?

I would break this down into each day of my week (sorry I’m only providing 7)

Monday: I don’t like Mondays – The Boomtown Rats. No need for explanation!

Tuesday: Seven Nation Army – The White Stripes . A good pump up song for the week ahead

Wednesday: From the Ritz to Rubble – Arctic Monkeys. Just because it’s a good song

Thursday: Angels – Robbie Williams. LM island will have karaoke Thursdays

Friday: Get on up – James Brown. The party begins on Friday and who better to kick it off than James B

Saturday: Cha Cha Slide – Mr C The Slide Man. Main party day on the island

Sunday: Jammin’ – Bob Marley. Super chill Sundays on LM island, party clean up and ready for a week of doing nothing

 

You can bring one book (to accompany the Bible or another religious work, and the complete works of Shakespeare, which you automatically get) – which book would you bring with you?

Game of Thrones book set or the Building Construction Handbook (what else!!!)

 

You can have one luxury item (it has to be inanimate and can’t help you escape the island or allow communication from outside) – what item would you pick?

A Rubik’s Cube as this might be the only time I’d be able to complete it OR a volleyball for companionship – If it worked for Tom Hanks it could work for me.
