An Interview with WW Executive PA Charlie Godfrey

Our people make waltonwagner the company it is and it’s their expertise and enthusiasm that makes us stand out from the rest. Find out more about our team by reading their personal responses to our six quick-fire questions. Be warned, the answers may surprise you!

Question 1: What do you enjoy most about working in London?
That I get to work in a fantastically cultured part of the world, with everything on my doorstep. I love the tube system too which although crowded, is a great way of getting about town.
Question 2: What is your favourite restaurant and why?
My favourite restaurant at the moment is Gurkhas Diner in Balham – not just because it is a 1 minute walk from my flat but for its authentic traditional Nepalese cuisine which is beautiful. The Farshi lamb they make is my absolute favourite!

Question 3: Tell us about your favourite buildings in the world.
The Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria, built in the 13th century, is stunning especially with all the horse drawn carts outside.

Question 4: Tell us one thing about working at waltonwagner that you enjoy?
I enjoy working with all the different range of characters/personalities that we have here at waltonwagner, not every day is the same and there’s always something or someone to laugh with. Is it ok to mention that I especially enjoy wine Fridays?!

Question 5: What is the most memorable moment of your life?
So far the most memorable moment was spending the day with elephants at Patara Elephant Farm in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is Thailand’s only elephant breeding farm and it houses rescued elephants who have suffered horrifically. The elephants only interact with humans every two weeks when they come down from their forest to be washed, fed and cleaned. It is basically like a spa day for them! It was an amazing way to get up close to these beautiful creatures in their natural environment.

1. I am half Jamaican and I used to live there.
2. I have a massive fear of jelly!
3. I swam with pigs on the Exuma Island in Bahamas last year.
