waltonwagner Celebrate Christmas in the Country
Every year Nick and I try to think of something a little different to reward the team here at waltonwagner for all their hard work and effort that makes the business the success that it is. This year we took the team off to East Sussex to visit Horsted Place, one of Britain’s finest examples of gothic revivalist architecture. Built by George Myers in 1850 for Francis Barchard, much of the detail was designed by Augustus Pugin, widely regarded as England’s most influential early Victorian Architect. It made a refreshing change from London and the perfect place to celebrate Christmas in the country.
We kicked off the evening with pre dinner drinks in the drawing room. Secret Santa gifts were exchanged (with some notable gift choices!) before sitting down for a delicious three course dinner with accompanying wines. In the bespoke surroundings of Horsted Place, the team were able to unwind and enjoy the night and it’s safe to say that they did.
We always hope that each member of the team will be a good fit, and with some new additions this year who certainly knew how to celebrate like the rest of us, we have a feeling that our recruitment skills won’t need to change for 2017.
After a quiet start to the morning and a large breakfast, we headed off to East View Riding Centre where we spent the morning horse riding through the East Sussex countryside. Not everyone on the team is an accomplished rider, however everyone buckled down and gave it a shot, and it certainly cleared our heads ready for our pub lunch in the Coach & Horses.
It was a fantastic night of celebration which the whole team thoroughly enjoyed. Nick and I would like to thank the team for all their hard work and dedication. waltonwagner can only be as good as its representatives and we are both very proud of what has been achieved in 2016. We look forward to working alongside you all next year.
