An Interview with Development Manager Emma Fox-Andrews
Our people make waltonwagner the company it is and it’s their expertise and enthusiasm that makes us stand out from the rest. Find out more about our team by reading their personal responses to our six quick-fire questions. Be warned, the answers may surprise you!
Question 1: What do you enjoy most about working in London?
The huge variety of buildings and developments going on, from refurbishments of century old townhouses to modern clad skyscrapers. It constantly feels like it’s changing, and always for the better.
Question 2: What is your favourite restaurant and why?
Kurobuta in Marble Arch or Kings Road, because I adore sushi and Scott Hallsworth is a genius.
Question 3: Tell us about your favourite buildings in the world.
I love simple understated buildings, like Georgian Townhouses. My favourite building in London is The Friary on Francis Street, a building you could easily miss if you weren’t looking but when you do, the proportions, symmetry and details are beautiful.
Question 4: Tell us one thing about working at waltonwagner that you enjoy?
The variety of the professional backgrounds that we have all come from and how we each have different experiences that can be drawn on for each of our projects.
Question 5: What is the most memorable moment of your life?
Standing at the top of Machu Picchu, struggling to catch my breath in the altitude air having climbed hundreds of steps, and thinking about what it would have been like to live there all that time ago.
Question 6: Tell us three things we may not know about you.
1. I despise the taste of coriander which is a constant struggle as my favourite foods are Asian.
2. I jumped higher than the Hampshire High Jump champion in an unofficial tournament. This unfortunately meant I was unable to take the title officially.
3. Despite being a keen traveller and exploring the world, I have never once been to the United States.
