An Interview with WW Office Administrator, Mary-Diakiese Mabika

Next up in our series of short interviews, we have a chat with Mary-Diakiese Mabika, who joined the waltonwagner team as our Office Administrator in March 2017 and has been an integral part of the company ever since. Read on to find out more about Mary’s adventures in Dubai, the most unforgettable moment of her life, and more.

The Diner, Camden, LondonQuestion 1: What do you enjoy most about working in London?

The people – coming to work every day is never the same. You definitely meet and see some interesting characters.

Question 2: What is your favourite restaurant and why?

I always enjoy trying new dishes and discovering great restaurants but I don’t have a particular favourite at the moment. The last place I went to was The Diner in Camden – their chicken wings and burgers are fantastic!

Question 3: Tell us about your favourite buildings in the world.

I loved the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. It’s one of the biggest mosques in the world and can accommodate about 40,000 worshippers at a time – it’s absolutely incredible. The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is also brilliant – at 2,722 ft (and 148 floors), it’s the tallest building in the world. Needless to say, the view from the top floor is stunning, especially in the evening!

When my brother was born in 2000. After 6 girls, I think it’s safe to say my dad was very happy!

1) Most of my family members call me Merveille, which is my French name and it means “wonderful”.
2) I learned how to knit from watching YouTube tutorials.
3) I hate roller coasters!
